1 mentions

Lincoln LaPaz (1897-1985) was an American astronomer and meteoriticist who directed the Institute of Meteoritics at the University of New Mexico. He served as a volunteer consultant to the Air Force's Office of Special Investigations during the 1948-1950 New Mexico green fireball investigations, authoring a series of reports arguing that the fireballs were not conventional meteors and might be guided missiles of Soviet origin.
