Gerald P. Carr (1932–2020) was a U.S. Marine Corps colonel and NASA astronaut who commanded the Skylab 4 mission (November 1973 – February 1974), the longest American crewed spaceflight to that date at 84 days. He appears in the archive for his crew's report of externally visible flashing lights with relative motion near the space station, documented in the Skylab Technical Crew Debriefings (NASA-UAP-D7).
