General Herve Giraud was a French Air Force general who appeared before the COMETA committee to give personal testimony of a UAP encounter during a night Mirage IV flight on March 7, 1977, in which both pilot and navigator observed a luminous body that maneuvered around their aircraft at supersonic speed at 9,600 meters altitude. His testimony is documented in the COMETA report included in NASA file 255-413270.
