Kelly Johnson

1 mentions

Clarence "Kelly" Johnson (1910-1990) was an American aeronautical engineer and the founder of Lockheed's Skunk Works advanced development division, responsible for designing the U-2 high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft and the A-12 OXCART. His aircraft programs figure prominently in the CIA's history of overhead reconnaissance, which documents how U-2 flights explained a large share of UFO reports in the late 1950s and 1960s.
