R.V. Jones (1911–1997) was a British physicist and scientific intelligence officer who served in British intelligence during World War II and played a central role in countering German radar and navigation systems. He appears in the archive in a December 1952 CIA memorandum recording that British intelligence, via Jones, had briefed the CIA on a standing British committee studying flying saucers and a recent sighting at an RAF field in Yorkshire.
