Samuel A. Goudsmit (1902–1978) was a Dutch-American physicist who co-discovered electron spin and later headed the Allied scientific intelligence mission ALSOS during World War II. He served as a panel member on the CIA's Robertson Panel (January 1953), which assessed UFO reports and recommended reducing public attention to the phenomenon.
