Edward H. White II (1930–1967) was a U.S. Air Force officer and NASA astronaut who, during the Gemini 4 mission in June 1965, became the first American to walk in space. He appears in the archive as a crew member debriefed in the Gemini 4 preliminary and experiment debriefing documents. White was killed in the Apollo 1 launchpad fire in January 1967.
