PURSUE Release 7 Is Here
The U.S. Department of War's seventh declassified UAP release, published on 23 October 2026, has been processed, researched and added to the archive. This time it is documents only, 28 PDFs and no videos: from a 2026 sighting by two federal agents to the internal reports of the contractor that investigated UFOs for the DIA.
Release 7 adds 28 new bilingual research articles, one per document, and 52 images extracted from the PDFs themselves: FBI forensic sketches, witness drawings, sighting maps, field photographs and figures. We read every document, wrote original research and translated it.
What's New in Release 7
- ▪28 new bilingual research articles, and 52 new images in the gallery.
- ▪An AARO memorandum and an FBI report on a silent black triangle that rose, hovered and dropped into a canyon near a sensitive national security site in the western United States in 2026, with nine FBI forensic sketches.
- ▪For the first time, the AAWSAP contractor BAASS's own records: its work plan, the CAPELLA data warehouse, MUFON's research proposals, four 2009 monthly reports, the 2010 Utah ranch investigation and the self-assessment that includes the "Tic Tac" case.
- ▪Fourteen 1950s Air Intelligence Information Reports and flying-object reports, from Saudi Arabia to Alaska, including four from Catalina Island, California.
- ▪The complete 298-page personnel record of Col. Howard M. McCoy, the intelligence chief at Wright Field in the Project Sign years.
- ▪The 1962-1964 White House file on space fragments that fall to earth, and a Space Council memo reporting that Defense wanted to use NASA "for a 'cover'".
The Headline Findings
AARO's Memorandum on the Black Triangle (2026)
A thermal observer calls a contact; two Federal Special Agents cross the peak and see a matte black triangle, 13 to 15 feet across, climb about ten seconds, hover about twenty, then bank into a canyon "at a speed comparable to a fighter jet". No sound, no hot spots, nothing found on the ground the next morning.
→The BAASS Utah Ranch Investigation (2010)
Two deployments of a four-person "Utah Task Force", game cameras, an electromagnetic sweep, plant biosensors and a plan to communicate with the source "using games, puzzles". The report records accounts of "dog-like" bipeds and orbs, and its own appendix holds the hair-DNA result: canine.
→The 2026 Black Triangle: Two Documents, One Sighting
Two federal agents and a third official at a separate post watched a matte black triangle, silent and without hot spots, rise over a ridge, hold still and vanish into a canyon. AARO debriefed them; the FBI took their statement and produced nine sketches. Both documents describe the same event, but not with the same numbers: the time, size and duration differ. The articles compare them line by line.

Release 6 published AAWSAP's founding records and its 37 reference papers. Release 7 opens what the contractor, Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies, actually did: it bought reports from MUFON, sent investigators into the field, built a database of hundreds of thousands of reports, and investigated a ranch in Utah. The records are presented as they are: accounts taken from witnesses, alongside the results, including those that cut against them.
DOW-UAP-D175: BAASS Self-Assessment (November 2010)
The "Tic Tac" case from a DIA report, with two FLIR frames, plus ANSYS simulations and "the largest known UAP ... Data Warehouse in the world".
DOW-UAP-D173: Monthly Report, November 2009
Six MUFON field cases, the Utah ranch canvass and a "blue orb" said to have passed through a driver.
DOW-UAP-D171: Monthly Report, June 2009
A planned vault for "exotic material or tissue", MUFON's stipend halved, 15 field cases and a mission to Brazil.
DOW-UAP-D170: Monthly Report, April 2009
MUFON's first deployments, three triangle cases and Project Northern Tier's maps of the 1975 nuclear-base sightings.
DOW-UAP-D168: Project Management Plan (December 2008)
Nine projects, from field "Engagement" and "Contact" to Blue Book files BAASS says are held at Los Alamos.
DOW-UAP-D169: Monthly Report, March 2009
A 234,364-report data warehouse, the MUFON purchase order and "The UFO Assault on Brazil".
DOW-UAP-D167: Project CAPELLA (December 2008)
A proposed data warehouse for every catalogue of unusual aerial phenomena, with a 20-code classification.
DOW-UAP-D166: MUFON Reports for BAASS (November 2008)
Five research proposals that treat UFO reports as design clues, from a superconducting toroid to cold fusion.
Air Intelligence Reports, 1949-1957

Images From the Documents
This release is documents only, so we extracted the images from the PDFs: 52 in all, including the nine FBI forensic sketches, witness drawings from the MUFON and BAASS investigations, sighting maps from Guam and Alaska, the FLIR frames from the "Tic Tac" case and Col. McCoy's official portrait. Each carries a bilingual caption and a link to its article.

- ▪The 2026 triangle is documented by two different agencies from the same witnesses, so you can see exactly where the accounts agree and where they part, and what the official summary describes that the released pages do not contain.
- ▪The BAASS records show what AAWSAP actually did with DIA money: it investigated UFO reports in the field, including "creatures" in Utah, even when the DNA test on the hair it collected came back as dog.
- ▪The AIIRs show the 1950s reporting system at work: how "probably a meteor" becomes "meteor" on the archive card, and which cases were left unexplained.
