Summary

This is a redacted FBI FD-1057 Electronic Communication recording a November 2024 site survey at the property of a U.S. person (identity and address redacted) who had been observing unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) over the previous three years in the northeastern United States. FBI Special Agents visited the property and were guided by the witness through a wooded area approximately 200 yards from the home, where a trail camera had been positioned facing west and had captured UAP activity. The document includes an extensive list of 24 photographic enclosures, including treeline photos, trail camera photos, and photos from the property's back deck. Multiple neighboring homes were observed to have line of sight to the same activity zone. The witness offered to allow FBI equipment to be placed on the property for monitoring, and proposed coordinated evening visits. The document is part of the FBI-UAP-D004 through D008 cluster.

The document and its context

FBI-UAP-D006 is the third FD-1057 Electronic Communication in the FBI's northeastern UAP investigation cluster. Unlike D004 (documenting video collection) and D005 (a formal interview), this document records a physical site survey — agents visiting the property in person to establish an understanding of the geography relevant to the witness's sightings. The document is dated November 2024, the first of the cluster to move into that month.

The document carries 24 enclosures, more than any other document in the cluster: nine sets of treeline photographs taken to the west of the home, five sets of trail camera photos from the property, four additional photographic sets of unspecified subjects, four sets of back-deck photos, and a photo log.

The site visit

On a date in November 2024 (exact day redacted), FBI Special Agents visited the home of the witness. The purpose of the visit, per the synopsis, was to survey areas where the witness had "seen Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) over the last three years."

The witness provided agents with a tour of the property. The tour included a visit to "a wooded area approximately 200 yards from [the witness's] home," where the witness had affixed a trail camera. This camera "has captured UAP activity facing West of [the witness's] home." Within the wooded area, the document notes "there were signs to indicate the area was restricted from hunting or fishing as well as a stone wall running south to north."

Geographic context and neighboring properties

After surveying the wooded area, agents were shown around the home. A trail or path that "goes around" a redacted area is mentioned, but the document notes it "does not run through the area where [the witness] has seen UAP activity." Importantly, the document records that "it appeared that multiple homes along [redacted], which is to the east of [redacted], would have line of sight to the area where [the witness] has observed UAP activity." This indicates the sighting zone is not isolated to a single vantage point but is potentially visible from several residences in the vicinity.

The witness also showed a video of someone hiking around the north side of a redacted location, walking in the vicinity of the UAP activity area.

Future cooperation

At the conclusion of the survey, the witness expressed clear willingness to cooperate with the FBI's investigation:

  • The witness gave agents a copy of unspecified material.
  • The witness stated they "would be open to equipment being set up on [their] property in order to" conduct recording or time-lapse video.
  • The witness offered to "coordinate with agents to have them come out to [their] property during an evening, when the UAP activity is often observed."

This offer to host FBI monitoring equipment and facilitate evening observation visits represents one of the more concrete investigative cooperation elements in the D004-D008 cluster.
