Summary
This is a heavily redacted FBI FD-302 interview report, form number 71, conducted in person (as opposed to the Microsoft Teams videoconference of the companion document FBI-UAP-D009). The subject — whose identity is fully redacted — is a U.S. person who describes the same northeastern orb sighting event from their own perspective. This witness arrived home around 9:15 PM and initially observed a basketball-sized yellow ball of light through the windshield, then upon exiting their vehicle saw a second, larger ball of light approximately the size of a beach ball, both positioned behind a row of trees approximately 30 yards away and 20-30 feet above the ground. The document also records a 1987 prior sighting and notes that FBI agents photographed the location at the witness's permission.
The document is redacted throughout; names, dates, locations, file numbers, and all agent identities are withheld.

The interview and witness
The interview was conducted in person at a location in the United States (redacted). The subject is identified only as a U.S. person whose identity is fully withheld. The document was interviewed alongside at least one other person (also redacted). After being advised of the interview's nature and the identities of the agents, the subject provided the following account.
The orb observation
On a date that is redacted, the subject arrived home in the evening around 9:15 PM. Upon parking in the driveway, the subject noticed "a ball of light through [the] windshield which was yellow and about the size of a basketball." Upon exiting the vehicle, the subject observed a second ball of light that "was larger and about the size of a beach ball."
The objects were positioned behind a row of trees — described as having since been taken down — but in front of a section of trees between the subject's property and a neighbor's property behind the home. An agent's note appended to the report provides a precise distance estimate: "Based on where [subject] was standing, the objects were approximately 30 yards away and 20-30 feet above the ground."
The subject stated that they were able to look at the lights "without strain or discomfort" on their eyes, and reported no subsequent health issues or concerns related to the sighting.
Movement and second witness
Upon seeing the lights, a second individual came outside to observe the objects as well. Both witnesses then observed the objects move laterally to their left. The objects passed behind a tree approximately 36 yards away at the same height, continued behind a neighbor's house, and went beyond a tree approximately 75 yards away. At that point, the subject stated that they saw "one orb going into the other orb before disappearing abruptly."
Subsequent sighting
A few weeks after the initial event, the subject stated that they saw several white orbs travel over the house from west to east, traveling at a much higher altitude than the prior red orbs.
1987 prior sighting
In a notable addition, the FD-302 records a prior sighting from 1987. The subject stated that they had witnessed something strange near power lines in a redacted location. The subject saw a red light "circling around itself at night" and described it as resembling "the front end of Kit from the TV show Nightrider [sic]." The subject saw the object hover and then land near a power station. The document notes that since that experience, the subject has "always been interested in the topic of UAP."
Photographs
The FD-302 notes that FBI agents took photographs at the witness's location with the subject's permission; these are attached to the interview document.
Significance
The companion document to FBI-UAP-D009, this FD-302 provides the second perspective on the same northeastern orb sighting event. The agent-noted distance estimate (30 yards, 20-30 feet elevation) anchors the sighting in concrete spatial terms. The 1987 prior sighting adds biographical context that may have informed the FBI's decision to conduct a formal documented interview. The attachment of FBI-taken photographs alongside the civilian-captured video documented in D009 reflects a multi-modal evidentiary approach by investigators.

A heavily redacted FBI FD-1057 Electronic Communication recording an October 2024 formal interview with a U.S. person concerning multiple incidents potentially involving UAP in the northeastern United States over the previous three years. The witness, a self-described skeptic and employed professional, described years of orb sightings from their property beginning in November 2021, a contact with a former official who warned that "people have been hurt by these things," a 1996 vehicle-shutdown incident in New Mexico involving an Army officer, and the witness's own efforts to disprove sightings using ADS-B aircraft transponder data. FBI FD-1057-06: First-Hand UAP Observations by Two Special Agents, Northeastern United States, November 2024
A heavily redacted FBI FD-1057 Electronic Communication, dated November 2024, documenting first-hand observations of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) made by two FBI Special Agents during an ongoing investigation in the northeastern United States. The agents, together with a cooperating witness, observed multiple distinct light phenomena near a wooded area adjacent to a body of water: a white pulsating light that moved horizontally with erratic movements and disappeared within ten seconds; white lights at the tree line that pulsed and flashed in white and blue hues; broad light plumes followed by red or white flashes that moved erratically; and, at 5:30pm, a bright white light above a bright red light that hovered at tree-top height, moved right to left, disappeared, and reappeared simultaneously at its starting position before moving right to left and disappearing again. All agent and location identifiers are redacted. Five photographs were taken but were mostly blurry. The document is part of a series (FBI-UAP-D004 through FBI-UAP-D008) relating to reports from the same general area.

A declassified FBI FD-1057 electronic communication documenting October 2024 contact with a U.S. person who had been reporting repeated observations of UAP appearing as plasma orbs near their residence in the northeastern United States since November 2021. The witness provided multiple video clips to FBI special agents and reported associated anomalous effects including spikes in gamma radiation, electronics disruptions, and GPS anomalies correlated with sighting events. This document is the first in a five-part series (D004-D008) covering the northeastern UAP investigation.

FBI FD-1057-05: Site Survey of U.S. Person Property Regarding UAP Activity, Northeastern United States, November 2024
A heavily redacted FBI FD-1057 Electronic Communication recording a November 2024 site survey conducted by FBI Special Agents at the property of a U.S. person who had been reporting repeated UAP observations over three years in the northeastern United States. Agents visited the location, were guided through a wooded area approximately 200 yards from the home where trail cameras had captured UAP activity, photographed the treeline and property, and noted that multiple neighboring homes had line of sight to the same observation area. The witness offered to allow equipment placement on the property and proposed coordinated evening visits for future observation. This document is redacted.
